Chapter 1 — Site-wide elements
These elements are present on every page.
1-1. Header (top of the page)
- Store logo: clicking it takes you back to the home page.
- Announcement bar (optional): a short message at the top of the page set by the manager (for example, "Free delivery over 50 euros"), with a link if one is configured.
- Main menu: a multi-level menu (mega menu) built by the manager; on mobile it opens as a drawer menu from the side.
1-2. Instant search
- As you type in the search box, live product suggestions appear straight away.
- Selecting a suggestion → the product page; pressing Enter → the full results page (Chapter 2).
- If nothing is found, the message "No results found" appears, with a suggestion to correct the phrase.
1-3. Mini cart
- Clicking the cart icon opens a preview of the basket: items with quantities, the grand total, and the "View basket" and "Checkout" buttons.
- You can change quantities from here; an empty basket has its own message too.
1-4. User menu
- Guest: a sign-in/registration link.
- Signed in: shortcuts to profile, orders, bookings, addresses, wishlist, reviews and sign-out.
1-5. Language and theme
- Change language: choose a language from the list (with a flag/label); the same page stays open in the new language.
- Light/dark theme: with the mode-toggle button; your choice is remembered.
1-6. Cookie consent (GDPR)
The first time you visit, the cookie consent window appears:
- Accept all or Essential only
- Settings: turn categories on/off (essential, functional, performance, analytics, advertising)
- The decision can be changed later too (cookie settings link).
1-7. Footer
- Links configured by the manager (legal pages, contact, about us and so on) and the copyright line.
1-8. System and error pages
Customers may occasionally see these site-wide pages:
- 404 page (not found): when an address does not exist; with a link to go back home and to contact.
- Error page: when a page fails to load; with a "Try again" button.
- "This feature is not available": when the manager has turned a section off (for example, booking) — instead of a broken page, a clean message is displayed.
