User Guide — Online Store Site

This guide explains the online store site (the customer-facing side): what each page does and what a customer can do. It is aimed at the store manager and support staff — so they know what the customer sees — and it is written so that parts of it can be published directly as a "shopper's guide" too.

The site is multilingual, has a light/dark mode, and, in addition to the online shop, also supports online booking (tables/services) when this is enabled.

General notes

  • Everything is configurable: the layout of the home page, the menus, the colours and many of the sections are built by the manager from the dashboard (dashboard guide, chapters 7 and 12). So the exact appearance of each store differs; this guide explains the shared behaviour.
  • Features that can be enabled: online booking, social sign-in and some payment methods are only shown when the store has enabled them; otherwise the message "this feature is not available" is displayed.
  • Guest checkout is possible: you do not have to create an account in order to buy; but a customer account offers more features (Chapter 5).
  • Multilingual and right-to-left: the site is offered in around 33 languages/dialects (including German, English, Persian, Arabic, Kurdish, Turkish and more) and supports a right-to-left (RTL) layout for Persian, Arabic and Sorani Kurdish (Kurmanji Kurdish is left-to-right).
